Job description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Staffing Coordinator to manage and optimize the scheduling of healthcare staff for a dynamic and growing organization. This position requires a candidate who is comfortable working flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and early mornings, to ensure that staffing needs are met between the hours of 5 am and 11 pm. The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and possesses strong customer service and administrative abilities.

Base pay rate of $60K plus the potential for incentives and bonus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and manage the daily staffing assignments for healthcare professionals, ensuring adequate coverage across various shifts and locations.
  • Collaborate with department managers to identify staffing needs and fill vacancies promptly.
  • Utilize scheduling software to monitor staff availability and optimize shift rotations.
  • Maintain accurate records of staffing assignments, time-off requests, and changes in availability.
  • Communicate effectively with staff regarding shift changes, last-minute coverage needs, and schedule confirmations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare staff, addressing scheduling concerns and resolving conflicts.
  • Provide excellent customer service to both internal staff and external clients to ensure satisfaction with staffing arrangements.
  • Assist with administrative duties, including data entry, report generation, and maintaining up-to-date employee files.
  • Participate in after-hours and weekend on-call rotations as needed to ensure continuous staffing coverage.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, labor laws, and healthcare regulations in all scheduling practices.

Qualifications:

  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Experience in customer service, client relations, or administrative roles.
  • Proficiency in scheduling software and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.).
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and early mornings as required.
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills to resolve staffing challenges efficiently.
  • Ability to work both in an office setting and remotely as part of a hybrid work schedule.
  • Previous experience in healthcare, scheduling, or related fields is preferred but not required.

Work Schedule:

  • 40-hour workweek with occasional overtime based on staffing needs.
  • Availability to work varying shifts, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends.
