We are seeking an eager individual to join our shared services team as a Finance Specialist at Roers Companies. The ideal candidate will possess a great team attitude, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.


Responsibilities:

  • Drive select accounting operations including A/R, A/P, Credit Cards, and Intercompany Billings
  • Assist with monthly financial close steps and assist with financial statement preparation
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Review and send customer billings
  • Document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
  • Engage in ad-hoc activities such as audit, tax, or as may be assigned
  • Checks problem and vendor accounts and answers vendor questions
  • Prepares vendor 1099 federal forms at year end and maintains vendor totals as needed
  • Record all checks and receipts for deposit and distribute as required
  • Reconcile vendor statements, research, and correct discrepancies
  • Support business unit customers and vendors through the procure to pay process
  • Reconcile daily credit card activity to ensure timely documentation
  • Assist in monitoring customer collections and follow up as needed
  • Assist with quarterly investor distributions
  • Work with Shared Services manager on the administration of corporate credit cards
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as needed or assigned.


Requirements:
  • Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • Thrives working in a team setting
  • Familiarity with Word and Excel
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting functions and practices
  • Be able to manage confidential, sensitive, and proprietary information
  • Effective communication skills
  • Self-starter, open to new challenges
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Able to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy, customer service and timeliness
