Position Description:
This position is responsible for estimating manufacturing processes and process time estimates for a variety of manufactured parts, weldments, assemblies, and painted products. This information will be entered into Almco's ERP system and used to drive standard costs, capacity planning and other functions. As part of this process, engineering drawings will also be reviewed for missing information and errors. This position will also be involved in deciding whether a product should be made in-house or purchased from our external suppliers. For parts that will be purchased, additional tasks include submitting RFQs, and exploring/researching potential suppliers.
Essential Functions:
- Generate accurate estimates of process steps and process times for parts for product made in-house.
- Review engineering drawings for errors and missing information.
- Perform time studies on repeat shop orders.
- Submit RFQs and Research new suppliers
- Use software to nest laser parts to generate time and material requirements.
- Generate summary of sheet materials used each year to generate material requirement forecasts.
- Recommend changes that improve manufacturability.

Qualifications:
- Must have all safety training provided by Lou-Rich
- Must have a good understanding of all safety equipment used in the Press Room/Paint Room
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be able to perform preventive maintenance by using ISO 9001 procedures
