As a Field Technician you will be the primary support for all technical issues onsite at our (16) locations spread across MN, WI, and ND. You will independently solve most issues you face with minimal supervision and escalate the remaining issues to a higher level only when necessary. You must be skilled in resolving issues remotely and interacting positively with coworkers on the phone. As field-based support is required, a high level of professionalism and presentation is important as well.
The core business hours are Monday - Friday, from 8am to 5pm
Primary Location 12432 Energy Drive SE. Becker, MN with travel to other locations as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Answer, evaluate, and prioritize requests for assistance from employees experiencing problems with hardware, software, networking, telephone, and other computer related technologies.
Setup and install new IPhones, IPads, desktop and laptop equipment according to our standards ensuring proper installation of cabling, operating systems, and appropriate software.
Resolve the majority of technical issues without additional assistance
Provide proper follow-through to ensure issues are resolved to satisfaction
Provide after-hours, on-call emergency support as needed
Document and update installation, configuration, deployment and maintenance procedures
Promote Information Security within the business
Soft Skills:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Highly self-motivated
1st Class customer service skills
An ability to quickly diagnose and troubleshoot software and hardware issues
Desirable Skills:
MCP, CCENT, and A+ Certifications
HP and Cisco software and hardware experience
Knowledge of Cisco or other Voice Over IP systems
