Job description

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Service Technician to join our team in Ypsilanti, MI. This role involves changing tires on tractor trailers, performing routine inspections, replacing parts, and completing various repair tasks to ensure vehicle safety and compliance. The ideal candidate will have mechanical experience, a good driving record, and the ability to pass a background check and drug screen. Welding and torch skills are required.

Responsibilities:

Change tires on semi-trucks and trailers as well as conduct tire repairs

Perform routine vehicle inspections to identify potential issues

Replace parts and conduct basic mechanical repairs as needed

Use welding and torch equipment for maintenance and repairs

Ensure all work is completed safely and to high standards

Ability to constantly work in an outdoor environment, exposed to all weather elements, including extreme hot and cold temperatures, dust and noisy conditions

Anything else that the Operations Manager may ask of you

Mechanical experience, preferably with tractor trailers or heavy equipment

Proficient with welding and torch tools

Valid driver's license with a clean driving record

Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Good time management skills

Dependable and willing to work flexible hours.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Strong Mechanical background

Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
