Our client, is a leader in the automotive industry with a focus on cutting-edge technology and high-quality manufacturing. We are seeking a highly skilled Product Design Engineer with hands-on experience in manufacturing, particularly within the automotive sector. If you have a passion for design and a background in Product Data Management (PDM), Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and advanced design software, we want you on our team!

What you will be doing as a Product Design Engineer:

• Lead the design and development of automotive components and systems, ensuring manufacturability, functionality, and durability.


• Utilize CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA, or similar) to create detailed designs and models.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, procurement) to optimize designs for production.


• Work closely with manufacturing teams to ensure designs are practical for mass production.


• Conduct design reviews to ensure products meet cost, quality, and performance targets.


• Provide support during the production process to address any design-related issues.


• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, materials, and technologies to ensure designs are innovative and competitive.


• Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the design and manufacturing processes.

What you will need as a Product Design Engineer

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field.


• 3+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on manufacturing in the automotive sector.


• Strong proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, etc.).


• Experience with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools.


• Familiarity with Product Data Management (PDM) systems.


• Strong understanding of materials, especially metals and polymers used in automotive components.


• Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles.
