Job description
DCS is seeking a highly qualified Vehicle Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of complex combat vehicle systems, a proven track record in project management, and a strong background in engineering and technical analysis. This role will involve a combination of strategic planning, technical expertise, and operational oversight.
Essential Job Functions:
Production Planning and Optimization: Develop and implement efficient production plans, leveraging advanced techniques like cost modeling and simulation to optimize resource allocation and minimize costs.
Quality Assurance and Control: Establish and maintain government quality standards, ensuring products meet stringent specifications. Conduct thorough testing and analysis to identify and rectify potential issues.
Technical Analysis and Problem-Solving: Apply advanced engineering principles to troubleshoot complex problems, analyze system performance, and propose innovative solutions.
Project Management and Execution: Lead cross-functional teams to successfully execute projects, from inception to completion. Manage budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure project success.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize data analytics to identify trends, optimize processes, and inform strategic decisions.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, technicians, and executive leadership.
Required Skills:
Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
Advanced degree in Engineering or a related field.
12+ years' experience in prototyping and testing environments, within the defense or aerospace industry.
12+ years' experience in managing defense projects, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
U.S. Military experience (Army preferred)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on root cause analysis and corrective action.
Expertise in cost modeling, financial analysis, and resource optimization.
Experience with a variety of manufacturing processes, including machining, welding, and assembly.
Familiarity with U.S. military industry standards and regulations.
Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, SQL, Python) and simulation software.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to diverse audiences.
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with supply chain management, logistics, and operational readiness.
Experience with U.S. military combat vehicles.
Experience with modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink).
Strong understanding of materials science and metallurgy.
