Qualifications:
Possess a Master's degree in Social Work; AND Have an LLMSW or LMSW from the State of Michigan; OR
Possess a Master's degree in Counseling; AND Have an limited license as a professional counselor (LLPC ) or an (LPC) from the State of Michigan Department

Essential Job functions:
Engage individuals in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner even during acute phase.
Screen for co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders. Implement integrated strength-based assessment(s) interviews to assess the presence, onset, symptoms and patterns of substance use, behavioral and psychiatric disorders. Assess for acute needs and risk and provide/arrange for appropriate stage wise intervention. In the presence of two disorders, evaluation will be made of the interaction between the two, as well as the relationship of each to significant life events. Demonstrate the knowledge of diagnostic criteria for psychiatric and substance use disorders.
Performs assessments for diagnostic purposes, interviews individuals and others related to the case, within timeframes required under specific fund sources e.g. OSAS, CCBHC, etc).
Records the assessment treatment plan, progress and other significant information regarding the individual in agency records and other formats required under specific fund sources (e.g. Carenet for OSAS).
Participates as a team member on a diagnostic team and at utilization review committee meetings for the purpose of developing joint clinical assessments of individuals. Reviews case records of the agency for quality, appropriateness and progress of treatment plans. Collaborates and communicates with other providers (MH and SA) and supports to ensure continued care.
