Be a part of the IHM Senior Living Community! We are looking for Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to work contingent/casual status positions in our 5-star healthcare facility in Monroe. We are taking resume from candidates that share our values and mission in our skilled nursing facility. Contingent/Casual status positions are required to work a minimum of four shifts per month (two weekday and two weekend shifts). We are looking for LPNs interested in working from 6:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m. IHM Senior Living We provide a home for seniors who want to live in a place that has the full continuum of care - meaning residents can move into independent living and then as their care needs evolve, they can move to assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, or stay in our short- term rehab center. Opportunities to use skills, training, and expertise to the best of your ability. Key Responsibilities The Licensed Practical Nurse evaluates, documents, directs and provides nursing care. Communicates status changes to family members or responsible party. Informs house supervisor and medical provider of changes or needs. Encourage and lead nursing staff to coordinate care for the residents. Handles medication administration and treatments. Performs all duties consistent with Quality Standards and Infection Control practices. Performs all job functions within State and Federal Regulations. Qualifications: Successful completion of an approved nursing program for Licensed Practical Nurses Current LPN licensure in Michigan in good standing Minimum of one year previous experience as a Nurse (Charge Nurse preferred) required. Special Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Resident centered thinking, with awareness & sensitivity to resident needs, interests, & abilities Ability to meet the physical demands of position, including lifting over 50 lbs. while transferring a resident.
