The commercial construction SR. Project Engineer, will be in charge of planning and coordinating technical engineering initiatives to make sure they can complete a project within their budget and according to a schedule.

Description

Commercial Construction SR. Project Engineer (Detroit, MI) Key Responsibilities:

• Assist Project Manager in all phases of construction
• Writes RFI's, submits for approval and distributes accordingly.
• Reviews and understands the subcontract documents as they apply to assigned areas of responsibility.
• Notifies management of significant project events such as project successes, issues, injuries, client relations, potential losses/claims
• Work with owner/client to provide updates, obtain approvals and complete change orders for scope of work revisions
• Assists with documenting changes; maintains project records, red line transfers and correspondence.
• Ensure all work is done in compliance with OSHA
• Monitor project costs to stay within budget

Profile

A successful applicant for Commercial Construction SR. Project Engineer (Detroit, MI) includes:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Construction Management, Engineering or related degree
• 2-5 years of relevant professional experience
• OSHA 30 Hour preferred
• Industrial/Automotive/Higher Education markets project experience highly preferred
• Strong proactive positive attitude with commitment to safety
• Advanced knowledge of construction engineering technology, codes, standards, etc.,
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated ability to manage a team of varied disciplines.
• Ability to travel is a plus
• Preferred Experience in Primavera P6, Microsoft Project and Viewpoint
