Our client, in Ada, MI, is seeking a Microbiology Lab Technician to join their team. As a Microbiology Lab Technician, you will be part of the Quality Control Unit supporting testing and release of raw materials, finished consumer goods, and/or environmental samples. The ideal candidate will be a flexible team player with attention to detail and the ability to communicate and elevate issues to leadership.

Job Title: Microbiology Lab Technician

Location: Ada, MI

Pay: $22/hr

What's the Job?

• Support testing and release of raw materials, finished consumer goods, and/or environmental samples
• Training in sample logging and compositing
• Work as part of a cohesive laboratory team which often uses a rotational schedule to keep the work interesting and to ensure the workload is covered
• Training on multiple techniques within the micro laboratory and will be kept up to date with team meetings
• Daily duties may include cleaning, sample logging, weighing materials, record keeping, media preparation, and calibration of equipment

What's Needed?

• Laboratory experience (in education or industry)
• Demonstrated ability to follow SOPs/test methods
• 2 years of college in a science related field and/or demonstrated experience in microbiology laboratory procedures
• Attention to detail
• Ability to communicate and elevate issues to leadership
• Ability to sit, stand, and lift up to 50lbs
• GMP microbiology laboratory experience preferred
