Job description

Monday through Friday, base hours 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. Start and end times may vary based on patient visit schedule. Weekend on-call rotation, 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. The frequency depends on how many Aides are on staff.

The Certified Nurse's Aide, CNA Hospice is a full-time fully benefited position, which includes:

Summary:

The first-shift Certified Nurse's Aide, CNA Hospice works out of our Holland office and is a member of the interdisciplinary group working under the supervision of a Registered Nurse providing various services for hospice patients as necessary to meet their personal needs and to promote comfort. The Certified Nurse's Aide, CNA Hospice is responsible for observing the patient, reporting these observations and documenting observations and care given.

The salary range for the Certified Nurse's Aide, CNA Hospice is between $16.00-$23.00 per hour with a sign-on bonus.

Those with experience, but lacking certification are encouraged to apply. We will pay you to become certified.

Responsibilities of the Certified Nurse's Aide, CNA Hospice include:

Providing personal care (bathing, skin care, oral hygiene, changing bed linen, washing hair and nail care);
Assisting with patient safety needs;
Assisting with ambulation and exercises as assigned;
Assists with feeding, as needed;
Takes and records vital signs;
Assists with respite for caregiver when on-site, (as needed); and
Assists with range of motion and other simple procedures to maintain comfort.

Qualifications for the Certified Nurse's Aide, CNA Hospice include:

High school diploma or GED;
One year experience in hospice, long term care, or home care; and
Be a Certified Nurse's Aide (CNA) in the State of Michigan. (We will pay you to become certified.)
