This position will be located in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Goodale Enterprises, LLC, has an immediate need for an experienced leader with skilled knowledge of the oil industry.

The Oil Superintendent position is integral to support the business mission to provide safe and efficient operations. This is a full-time position that has responsibility to communicate, plan, schedule, direct and train the workforce. Additionally, this position will oversee all phases of oil well production, service and rework operations with the objective to optimize and improve production on shallow Traverse stripper wells. Goodale Enterprises is not only an oil production company but also a full oil field service company.

The Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Monitor, analyze and submit reports on daily activities - production, service, reworks, plugging and abandonment, facility repair and various field projects.
  • Ensures production, service and facility operations are conducted safely using industry standards and according to State and/or Federal regulations
  • Problem solve and safely implement solutions
  • Able to safely and effectively operate oil field related equipment (pole and derrick rigs, pumps, swivels, dozers, backhoes, etc.)
  • Ability to effectively train individuals on industry procedure and equipment operation.

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of Oil and Gas industry experience in operations and production with a demonstrated ability to troubleshoot downhole and equipment problems. Prior experience with stripper oil wells is a plus.
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully leading teams and motivating individuals.
  • Excellent understanding of well bore geometry and volumetric calculations.
  • Experienced in managing complex projects and navigating challenging situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft office, especially Excel & Outlook
  • Current CDL and Well Control certification are a plus.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds occasionally, carry, push, and pull or otherwise move objects
  • Must be reliable and able to work in all weather conditions
  • Applicant must be able to pass a drug screening test as well as a background check
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Work is performed in the field and occasionally office environment.
