Job description

Job Summary :
The Quality Manager will oversee and implement quality control procedures to ensure that products or services meet internal and external standards, including legal compliance and customer expectations. This individual will be responsible for the development, maintenance, and improvement of quality systems, policies, and processes across the organization. The Quality Manager works closely with other departments to ensure that the company consistently delivers products and services that meet high standards of quality and safety.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and Implement Quality Systems :

    • Design and maintain quality assurance policies, procedures, and programs.
    • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards (ISO, Six Sigma, etc.).
    • Lead the implementation of quality management systems (QMS) to drive continuous improvement.
  2. Oversee Quality Control Operations :

    • Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes, services, and products to maintain quality standards.
    • Monitor and analyze quality performance metrics, ensuring key performance indicators (KPIs) are met.
    • Coordinate with production teams to ensure that quality is embedded in all operational processes.
  3. Leadership and Team Management :

    • Supervise and train quality control staff, ensuring that all team members are knowledgeable and competent in their roles.
    • Promote a culture of quality across the organization, providing leadership on quality-related initiatives.
    • Set goals and develop performance standards for the quality department.
  4. Customer and Supplier Relations :

    • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related issues with customers, ensuring that their needs and expectations are consistently met.
    • Manage supplier quality by establishing and maintaining quality expectations and performing supplier audits as necessary.
    • Address customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions to prevent recurrence.
  5. Risk Management and Compliance :

    • Identify potential risks and implement preventive measures to reduce quality issues and non-conformities.
    • Ensure compliance with local, national, and international regulations and standards.
    • Maintain all required documentation and records related to quality control, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
  6. Continuous Improvement Initiatives :

    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives focused on enhancing product quality, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
    • Utilize data-driven approaches such as Six Sigma, Lean, or Kaizen methodologies to optimize processes.
    • Implement root cause analysis for defect detection and ensure proper corrective actions are taken.

Qualifications:
  • Education : Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience :
    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality management or related roles.
    • Experience with industry standards such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing, etc.
    • Proven track record in leading teams and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Certifications : Certified Quality Manager (CQM), Six Sigma Green/Black Belt, or similar certifications preferred.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of quality management systems and methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and manage a quality team.
  • Experience in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools (e.g., SPC, FMEA, Root Cause Analysis).
