This pastor will be directly responsible in leading the Children's Ministry at Davison Missionary Church. Responsibilities include Sunday's, midweek programming and special events. The pastor will be directly responsible to the Senior Pastor at Davison Missionary Church (DMC).

Lifestyle Expectations

-Profess faith in the Lord God and spend regular time talking with Him and reading His Word.

-Continue to grow spiritually and professionally through reading, listening to training resources, taking classes and attending confrences and seminars when able to afford.

-To personally pursue a maturing relationship with Jesus Christ and to set a Christ-like example in words and actions for the children and adults

Primary Responsibilities

-To oversee the Children's Ministry at DMC. This includes oversight for volunteers, other paid departmental staff and interns. Including the purchase, distribution, and use of all equiptment and supplies.

-To develop programming to reach each child on their level

-Evangelism- Share the love of Jesus with the children of our church and community

-Growth- a goal to see every child actively growing in their faith

-To oversee the Children's Ministry Team, volunteers and interns. To enlist, train, resource, and encourage adult leadership to lead and assist with Sunday and midweek Children's ministries, and to partner with parents.

-To encourage and motivate the children in a growing commitment and connection to the body of Christ and an expanding contribution to the mission of Christ. We are multi-generational church that wants to continue to impact our world!

-To help parents be involved in the spiritual formation of their child's life

-To make decisions on the most effective programs to impact our children

-To annually develop and oversee the Children's Ministry budget so it effectively and wisely utilizes church resources and maximizes ministry opportunity

-To serve in other areas of ministry the Senior Pastor deems necessary. Ministry is constantly changing and the church will have different challenges along the way. It is important that our Pastors work together to meet the needs of our congregation and community

Communication

-Participate in staff meetings, providing up-to-date information about ministry

-Keep the Senior Pastor thoroughly informed of staff accomplishments, concerns and future plans

-Maintain excellent relationships and open communication with all staff

-Oversee the production and distribution of all Children and Parent letters, flyers, posters, etc. Keep all of our websites and social media up to date with our ministry programs for kids

-Communicate the churches approved Safety Policy to all Children's Ministry volunteer staff. Regularly evaluate its use and take necessary steps to put the policy into practice

Pastoral Duties

-Participate regularly in weekend worship programs (we offer two Sunday Morning services One in our main building and one in our HUB building)

-Perform baptisms, weddings, funerals, hospital visits, and counseling as necessary

-Serve in outreach events and within other ministries as part of the DMC Pastoral Team

-Attend extra-curricular events of Children in your ministry (Sporting events, band, plays, etc.)

-Full-time pastors are expected to spend 50-60 hours per week in active ministry, including church services, office hours, community outreach events, and attending kids school and extra-curricular activities

$40,000 minimum starting Pay but could be increased based on experience
