Job description

A Cost Estimator job in Auburn Hills, MI is available courtesy of Akkodis. You will be working for a leading tooling company, developing cost estimates of injection mold tooling and assess customer data for cost drivers. Customers are automotive manufacturers and suppliers.

Pay: $ 75,000 - $100,000

Cost Estimator job responsibilities are:

• Prepare cost estimates and price quotes on new work and engineering changes

• Coordinate preparation of cost estimates on project continuations

• Estimate the bost of labor and materials from CAD data and specifications provided

• Collect information for proper quotations from external sources

• Develop internal and external RFQs and manage the RFQ process with the supply chain department

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree OR equivalent experience will be considered

• Experience in processing new tool RFQ's and assessing product designs for feasibility

• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents

• Knowledge of injection mold build processes

• 2D/2D design view experience
