We are seeking an Accounts Payable Analyst for our finance and accounting department at the Corporate Office located in Auburn Hills, Michigan.


Position Summary:
Provides entry-level administrative support in one or more functional areas of an accounting department, primarily accounts payable. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Works under immediate supervision and reports to a supervisor or manager.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Maintains electronic and paper files in area of responsibility.
  • Gathers, assembles and reviews all required documents and records.
  • Responsible for timely and accurate processing and data entry into business system software and spreadsheets.
  • Runs reports as requested and on a regular basis to identify problems, delinquent accounts, adjustments needed, etc.
  • Participates in multi-site problem resolution with external customers, suppliers, internal cross-functional departments and other plants.

Requirements:

  • Requires a high school diploma. Associates Degree in Finance, Business, or some college preferred.
  • Demonstrated competence in personal computer Windows applications including: Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Capable of dealing effectively and professionally with external customers/vendors.
  • One year of administrative experience required. Demonstrate knowledge of commonly used business concepts, practices, and procedures is preferred.
  • Normal office environment including extensive telephone and computer work.
  • Occasional lifting of office supplies or files.
