Job Title: Mechanical Designer
Industry: Defense Aerospace
Location: Woburn, MA (Onsite)
Duration: 3-4 months with possible extension
Salary: $35-$40/hour W2

Project Overview:
Provide drafting/design support for radio frequency (RF) and/or wireless transmission design.
To produce all types of drawings using computer-generated methods following specified drawing standards.

Responsibilities:
To create CAD models of parts and assemblies in support of new product design and development.
Generate documentation, drawings, and layouts in support of new product design and development.
Generate Engineering Change Orders to maintain engineering documentation.
Incorporation of drawing changes of existing product documentation.
To create supporting illustrations and documentation for product assembly fixtures, procedures, and proposals.
Perform Document Control function by distributing Engineering Change Orders and Controlled Prints. Recalls obsolete documents.
Perform other tasks, as required, to support engineering and production documentation efforts.
Ability to work in a team environment

Requirements:
Two-year minimum trade or technical school specializing in Design and Drafting
Working knowledge of Inventor and/or SolidWorks applications
Solid background with 3D
Self-starter that works independently on assigned tasks
Good organization and filling skills
Working knowledge of ASME Y14.100 Engineering Drawing Practices.
Working knowledge of Mil Specification and Standards
