Description

The Designer is responsible for:

• Reporting into the Engineering Manager
• Designing and estimating projects
• Interacting with clients/customers to understand what they want to do (and designing it)
• Analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements to determine accurate cost estimates
• Collaborating with various parties (architects, subs, etc.) to gather necessary information
• Onsite - typically working with an existing building
• Check out HVAC on projects and speak to customer to understand what they want to do and design it

Profile

The right candidate has the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 5+ years of experience as a designer in the construction industry - ideally with a Mechanical contractor (or engineering firm)
• Ideally background in MEP, HVAC, or Commercial - Academic, Healthcare, Lifescience projects
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy
• Self-sufficient & eager to grow
• Proficiency in AutoCAD MEP and Revit
