Job description

DUTIES: Product design and development, test of materials, preparation of specifications, process capability studies, research investigations (animal and clinical studies), report preparation, and process/test documentation. Compile, analyze and report operational, test, and research data to establish performance standards for modified products, processes, or materials. Design and coordinate standard engineering tests and experiments. Design, procure, and fabricate tooling and fixtures. Perform troubleshooting on new products/process problems as related to design, material, or process. Summarize, analyze, and draw conclusions from test results. Prepare standard reports/documentation to communicate results to technical community. Invent and create concepts and design for new products/processes and submits idea disclosures. Work cooperatively with process development, quality, manufacturing, regulatory, clinical, and marketing to ensure project success. Demonstrate PDP/TPD system knowledge through delivery of high-quality deliverables. Design changes: scoping, budgeting, planning and implementation. Plan and participate on Voice of Customer and Animal Labs to evaluate possible design changes. May require to travel/telecommute. REQUIREMENTS: Employer requires a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Biotechnology or a related technical field plus 12 months experience in job offered, Chemical Engineer or related occupation. Experience must include: 1) Windchill, 2) Minitab 17 software, 3) Process Validation, 4) Design Verification and Validation, 5) Product Life Cycle, 6) Design Controls, 7) Risk Management, 8) eCAPA System, and 9) LithoVue.
