The Key Account Manager (West Region) is responsible for managing existing customer relationships and expanding the client database, primarily in the distribution and wholesale sectors. Description

  • Compile lists of prospective customers for sales leads based on various sources.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory to solicit orders from existing and potential customers.
  • Display and demonstrate products, highlighting their features and benefits.
  • Quote prices and credit terms, preparing sales contracts for orders obtained.
  • Estimate delivery dates based on company schedules and communicate with customers.
  • Prepare reports of business transactions and maintain expense accounts.
  • Collaborate with marketing to keep account activities and promotions up to date.
  • Track stock levels and coordinate customer training.
  • Enter new customer data and sales information into the database.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with purchasing contacts.
  • Investigate and resolve customer delivery issues.
  • Attend trade shows to promote products and network with clients.

Profile

A successful candidate for this role will have a strong background in the data storage or computer accessories industry, ideally with experience in managing key accounts. They will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, allowing them to build and maintain relationships with clients effectively. Familiarity with distribution and wholesale environments, particularly experience with platforms like Amazon and Accutech, is essential. Additionally, the candidate should demonstrate a proactive approach, adaptability to change, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
