The Bioassay Development and Safety Sciences team works with Regeneron Cell Medicines discovery platforms and translational research teams to generate the hypotheses, mechanism-of-action, and efficacy data that fuel the research pipeline. We also work with our non-clinical and regulatory teams to generate the pharmacology, PK/PD, safety, and biomarker data that is critical to translating each of Regeneron Cell Medicines innovative therapies safely from research into patients and to the market.

As a Scientist, a typical day might include:

  • Conducting DNA and RNA extraction, qPCR and ddPCR, and data analysis.

  • Performing cell-based assays using aseptic technique, such as: flow cytometry and immunophenotyping; culture of tumor cell lines, human T cells, normal primary cells, as well as cocultures of cells.

  • Performing ligand binding assays such as MSD and ELISA on serum samples derived from in vivo studies or supernatant from coculture experiments.

  • Optimizing current assay offerings to increase assay robustness or sensitivity.

  • Reviewing, organizing, and presenting research data to functional team.

  • Providing critical lab support while working in a collaborative team environment

  • Writing, reviewing, and approving technical documentation including development protocols, reports, batch records, and SOPs

This role might be for you if you:

  • Are self-motivated, detail oriented, flexible, and have excellent organizational & communication skills

In order to be considered for this role, you must have at least a Bachelors/Masters degree in biology, cell biology, microbiology, biochemistry, bioengineering, biophysics, or related field and 6+ years of relevant experience. Must have experience with standard molecular and cellular biology techniques, including but not limited to, cell culture, PCR, RT-PCR, qPCR, ddPCR, and ligand binding assays. Experience culturing T-cells and tumor cells is preferred. Experience running flow cytometry is required. Familiarity/experience with MaxQuant is preferred.
