Job Description Summary: The System Integration and Test division at Draper is seeking a motivated Systems Engineer to perform key systems engineering tasks in relation to payload integration on launch systems, using formal design and test processes in support of Draper's Air Force and Missile Defense Strategic Systems business area. Leveraging Draper's expertise in hypersonic systems, fault-tolerant avionics, flight SW, and/or guidance navigation and control (GN&C), the candidate will support the mission to develop payload packaging and integration from early stage concepts all the way through to fully-functional deployed solutions. This position will require the following: • Deriving and assembling booster/bus environments and requirements
• Developing systems concepts, ICDs, and test plans
• Predicting and analyzing mission performance and reliability
• Use of Model Based Systems Engineering Tools The ideal candidate will be capable of working and communicating effectively with team members from multiple engineering disciplines, program management, senior engineering management, and customers. Job Description: Duties/Responsibilities
• Manage and control priorities, scope, schedule, and cost to baselines by proactively monitoring program/task performance across larger activities.
• Independently derive system-level I&T requirements based on mission requirements and defines plans, approaches, and detailed test procedures to solve complex I&T problems. • Helps customers understand and adequately mitigate and resolve I&T risks and issues.
• Subject Matter Expert (SME) able to develop and implement I&T approaches through a program lifecycle.
• Identify program/system-level I&T technical risks and develop and execute mitigation strategies. • Develop, document, and teach best practices to less experienced engineers. Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and time management skills to achieve program goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned. Skills/Abilities

Requires a bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Applied Physics, or related field. Experience

Experience with Matlab and Simulink
Experience with model based systems engineering (MBSE) - including MagicDraw & Cameo
Certification in MBSE and/or SysML
Experience modeling, simulating, or analyzing systems in one or more of the following domains: Hypersonics, Guided Munitions, Interceptors, unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). Security Requirement Applicants selected for this position will be required to obtain and maintain a United States government security clearance.
