Classroom Technology Manager
The Opportunity
Lesley University is seeking a Classroom Technology Manager to manage and maintain technology across campus spaces, including large venues, conference rooms, classrooms, and labs. This role involves ensuring the functionality of technology, updating documentation, and supporting new equipment integration. Key responsibilities include training staff, managing equipment checkout and digital signage, overseeing the "Pay-for-Print" system, and providing event support. The specialist will also work closely with the registrar's office to align technology with classroom needs and evaluate budget requirements. Candidates should have experience with audio-visual and computer technology, supervisory experience, and proficiency in troubleshooting, server maintenance, and operating systems like Windows and macOS. Knowledge of Extron and Crestron equipment is required. This position is ideal for a technical professional with strong collaboration and problem-solving skills.
Qualities and Capabilities
A successful candidate will have:
Previous experience with audio-visual and computer technology used in large venue areas, conference rooms, classrooms and labs
Certification or experience with maintenance and configuration of Extron and Crestron equipment is required
Proficiency in Windows and macOS operating systems, general productivity applications, and their deployment
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work with others
Self-motivated and able to prioritize multiple responsibilities
Excellent analytical, communication, problem solving and organizational skills
Ability to configure/maintain a server environment
Ability to troubleshoot advanced technology issues
Previous experience supervising student workers preferred
2-3+ years of hands-on experience with audio-visual and computer technology in educational or similar environments.
