Job description

Our client, a manufacturing company with offices north of Boston, is in need of a QA Lead to work onsite for a 12-month contract engagement. The QA Lead will be supporting our client's large Master Data Management program. Day to day tasks will include: Serve as a QA leader and QA subject matter expert providing guidance on best practices, testing frameworks, and testing tools. Direct the creation and implementation of an all-encompassing testing strategy for the enterprise-wide MDM program, ensuring the single source of truth is verified and upheld across all data repositories. Uphold the company's existing testing and quality assurance standards and best practices, including test planning, case design, and execution for data integrations, migrations, and transformations. Collaborate with the QA/Test Manager to address essential matters such as test resources, tool issues, and license management. Ensure end to end detailed test plan is created, executed according to plan not only at the team level but at the ART program level to ensure all testing dependencies are identified and managed on a timely basis across teams. Ensure testing strategy has the detailed environment requirements and data refreshes planned and executed for success Work closely with the Agile Product Owners and Scrum Masters to ensure alignment of quality goals and integrate QA processes into the development lifecycle, ensuring timely and effective testing within the agile team. Advocate and Implement test automation to improve efficiency and test coverage. Lead regression testing, system integration testing (SIT), user acceptance testing (UAT), and performance testing across multiple integrated systems. Advocate for QA standards and best practices within Agile teams to ensure consistent and dependable software delivery. Oversee the execution of manual and automated tests, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and timely identification of bugs/defects Ensure plan includes testing automation to drive productivity for each future Program Increment and increase team velocity Ensure the QA environments readiness for all systems affected by the MDM Program. Identify, track, and resolve quality issues throughout the testing process. Collaborate with Scrum Masters to conduct root cause analysis for bugs or defects and offer actionable feedback to address them. Work with the agile teams to collect data and provide regular updates to project stakeholders on testing progress, defect resolution, and system readiness. Generate test summary reports to highlight key findings, including pass/fail rates, defect counts, testing coverage, and lessons learned. Required Skills 8+ years of experience in QA/testing within complex MDM or data programs. Strong background in testing within Agile/Safe Agile environments, including experience with continuous integration and delivery practices. Proficiency in testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, JIRA, Jenkins, ALM, X Ray) for automated and manual testing. Experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Stibo, Informatica, SAP MDM) and familiarity with ERP, CRM, and other enterprise systems. Strong knowledge of data integration processes, data quality validation, and data transformation testing. Demonstrated ability to lead testing teams and manage the entire testing lifecycle within complex, multi-system environments. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on identifying root causes of testing issues and ensuring timely resolution. Strong critical and analytical thinking Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across technical and business teams. Bachelor's in information technology, Computer Science, or related field.
