Job description

The role involves overseeing all technical support for cable and harness manufacturing, including process improvement, problem-solving, and customer interface. Description

  • Develop programs for production equipment.
  • Provide necessary information to the Senior Design Engineer/Integrator to create the Cable Block Diagram in the Technical Data Package (TDP).
  • Assign cable numbers and maintain Configuration Management of cables.
  • Create and maintain routings, Bills of Material, drawings, detailed assembly and inspection instructions, and visual aids as needed.
  • Design and create tooling and fixturing to aid production.
  • Interpret customer and technical specifications, drawings, and engineering instructions, and communicate requirements to the factory.
  • Analyze current processes and implement improvements to reduce costs and/or increase quality. Determine production labor and material requirements based on project scope.
  • Develop and document operating procedures and work instructions to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Act as a liaison and technical advisor between My Client's program manager, customers, and/or internal departments regarding technical problems, schedule changes, and material availability.
  • Review engineering packages for approval.
  • Approve or develop specifications for fixture purchases.
  • Incorporate customer change notices into manufacturing documents.
  • Review requests for quotations to ensure accuracy and timeliness, including statements of work, quantity, and special instructions.

Profile

Degree in Engineering discipline

Excellent communication and customer service skill

Previous experience with wire/cable manufacturing

Excellent electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve equipment issues.

Recommended 5+ years of relevant experience.

Job Offer

Base Salary of $90,000-$100,000
