Our client is seeking a Civil Construction Estimator with at least 10 years of experience, specializing in water, sewer, and drain takeoffs, as well as expertise in demolition and deep foundation projects. The role involves creating detailed cost estimates, collaborating with various stakeholders, and managing the estimation process, reporting directly to the VP of Preconstruction.

Civil Construction Estimator - Leading GC - Bridgewater, MA - Responsibilities

• Review construction plans and documentation to create precise estimates for time, costs, materials, and labor.
• Prepare detailed estimates to assist in vendor and subcontractor selection.
• Collaborate with clients, subcontractors, and other departments to develop estimates and resolve issues.
• Discuss cost estimate adjustments with engineers, architects, owners, and subcontractors.
• Evaluate RFIs and addendums, and attend pre-construction meetings.
• Present cost estimates to clients and oversee all aspects of the estimation process.
• Analyze previous project costs and metrics to identify discrepancies.
• Develop comprehensive scopes of work and bid comparison sheets.
• Organize and lead meetings with oversight from senior management.

Profile

Civil Construction Estimator - Leading GC - Bridgewater, MA - Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years in Civil Construction, with specific expertise in water, sewer, and drain takeoffs.
• Strong skills in AutoCAD, On-Screen Takeoff, and InSite earthworks software.
• Civil Engineering degree preferred; Professional Engineering license is a plus.
• Familiarity with demolition, support excavation, deep pile foundations, ground improvements, contaminated soil, and dewatering methods.
• Ability to review and interpret construction plans and scopes of work accurately.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness in preparing cost estimates and evaluating project metrics.
• Capable of managing relationships with estimators and preconstruction engineers while overseeing the estimation process
