Vice President, Strategy & Operations

The Role

The VP, Strategy and Operations is a key member of the Head of Operations and Business Development s team. The team leads a range of initiatives to develop the internal and external business strategy for Soteria as well as develop and scale the company s operations (technology development, IT operations, operational risk & controls, reporting systems, legal & regulatory processes, vendor management, and more).

  • Develop operational systems and drive build of internal processes and procedures to help provide structure as we scale

  • Establish and facilitate effective cross-functional partnerships and relationships both within Fidelity and across outsourced vendors in a highly collaborative environment

  • Act as a central point of contact to work across varied functional areas in order to advance key operational activities in support of a quickly growing company

  • Lead on-going engagements with regulators and rating agencies such as obtaining an external rating, developing and refining the business plan for regulator communication

  • Utilize a general problem-solving skillset and mindset to solve varied operational and strategic problems across the organization

  • Synthesize strategic, financial and operational analysis and primary / secondary research into strategic insights and practical recommendations to inform our long term strategy

  • Lead the development of external communications to key stakeholders, including Board meeting materials, focused on presenting complex information in a digestible way

The Expertise and Skills You Bring

We are seeking candidates who have the following minimum qualifications:

  • MBA/Master s degree in relevant field and 10+ years of relevant work experience

  • Adept at leading multiple projects / initiatives at once

  • Expert ability to work collaboratively with individuals across a wide variety of operational, functional, and technical disciplines

  • Background / experience in management / strategic consulting

  • Exceptional persuasion and negotiation skills when working with internal/external customers to resolve issues and problems

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to clearly articulate the insights from findings to senior management and senior stakeholders

  • Intellectually curious individuals with a flexible mindset

  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment, high standards for performance with a continuous improvement mindset
