Position Summary:

We are looking for a meticulous and seasoned Paralegal to join our Toxic Tort litigation team. The ideal candidate will provide critical support in managing cases, preparing documents, and conducting research for complex toxic tort-related legal matters. This role is perfect for a proactive professional with experience in toxic tort litigation who is eager to contribute to high-stakes legal work.



Core Responsibilities:


  • Support attorneys in managing toxic tort cases, including organizing case files and maintaining thorough records.
  • Draft, prepare, and organize legal documents such as discovery requests, pleadings, and court filings.
  • Conduct in-depth legal research on case law, statutes, and regulations pertinent to toxic tort and asbestos litigation.
  • Coordinate depositions, hearings, and trials, assist with witness preparation, and contribute to trial preparation.
  • Review and summarize discovery materials, including medical records and expert reports.
  • Oversee case calendars and deadlines, ensuring all court and procedural requirements are met in a timely manner.
  • Maintain precise case notes and records, documenting all activities and deadlines.


Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certification from an accredited institution.
  • At least three years of paralegal experience, preferably in toxic tort or asbestos litigation.
  • Strong proficiency with legal research tools and case management software.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Skilled in drafting and reviewing legal documents and correspondence.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical abilities and the capacity to work independently.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach to collaborating with attorneys and clients.
