Job description

f you are a licensed Practical Nurse we need you, plenty of work available in nursing homes nationwide, assisting to care for the elderly. We are seeking LPN'S for our company Professional Staffing Consultants. We offer health insurance, Aflac and 401k. We also have a referral bonus program when you recommend friends and family.
We are looking for a compassionate LPN with an ability to remain calm under pressure. The LPN will be responsible for monitoring patients, performing routine checks, and assisting doctors and nurses.
To be successful as an LPN you should be able to take direction and work well in stressful situations. A good LPN has great observational skills and empathy for patients while remaining professional.

Licensed Practical Nurse Requirements and Responsibilities:

  • Plans and manages patient care according to each patient's needs.
  • Interviews patients and records their medical history and physical condition.
  • Obtains patient vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration.
  • Provides routine care for patients.
  • Observes patients' health.
  • Reviews medical charts.
  • Accompanies patients to their rooms.
  • Assists physicians and registered nurses.
  • Communicates with patients and their families.
  • Performs standard diagnostic procedures including EKG, phlebotomy, venipuncture, PFT, and Doppler. If job requires
  • Prepares specimens for lab courier.
  • Administers medications.
  • Provides wound care.
  • Prepares and administers injections and/or enemas.
  • Assists with patient comfort.
  • Monitors catheters.

OT offered after 40 hours. at time and a half most contracts require every other weekend. Housing Provided on Travel contracts, most contracts are 13 weeks with resign contract options at end of 13 weeks. Hospitals and Nursing Homes.

Licensed Practical Nurse Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Completion of state approved training program (generally in the form of a diploma, certificate,)
  • LPN license (pass NCLEX-PN exam)
  • BLS certification
  • 1-2 years recent nursing experience
