Location: 131 Dartmouth Street, Boston, MA 02116 Position Title: Expert Consultant (BOS-ECON-2024A(2)i) Job Description: Work with the case team manager to understand the scope of work of the operating model engagement; provide relevant advice on how to deliver the work, and applicable (internal and 3rd party) software tools. Responsible for project management and designing workstreams, including defining deliverables, setting timelines, and delivering high-quality output. Liaise with client map to understand client systems and data sources/structures to ensure ownership for delivery of critical tasks/issues. Assist in the preparation of key workshops to develop hypotheses and build buy-in for the solutions being discussed; operate relevant software tools to produce relevant scenarios/visualizations and bring facts to bear to illustrate the solutions. Support client capability building (in conjunction with consulting manager, other case team members, and other Specialist Consultants) in use of relevant software tools. Develop solid understanding of broader set of practice IP/solutions/products/tools and their applicability in different client situations. Work with practice leaders to help with proposals and other areas as required to deepen the ability to serve and increase the adoption of practice IP/solutions/products/tools. Support ongoing effort in promoting products internally and externally, including leading tool demonstrations. Communicate effectively with team members around the world concerning the work, client relationship, expectations, and insights. Constructively engage in mutual feedback process with supervisor and team members. Consistently remain positive and motivated under difficult situations and effectively support junior team members. Participate in developing programmatic elements of Bains practice. Travel to client sites as required for client consulting projects to establish needs and present recommendations. Overnight travel may be required. Multiple Positions Available. Job Requirements: Requires a Masters degree in Business Administration, or a related field, plus two (2) years of consulting experience. The employer will also accept a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, or a related field, plus four (4) years of relevant experience. Experience must include: Strong proficiency in big data gathering, manipulation, analytics, and visualization. This should include proficiency in big data analysis tools such as Alteryx, Python, and/or R; and experience with visualization tools such as Tableau and PowerBI. Experience working with B2B commercial transaction data Ability to quickly pick up and apply complex topics Strong abilities in problem definition and problem-solving Excellent analytical capabilities and experience using complex modeling and analysis to inform key business decisions Excellent oral, written, and PowerPoint communication skills Proven ability to work effectively, and manage others in diverse and distributed teams Comfort working independently and/or remotely from supervisors in a fast-paced environment Experience with commercial operations or business operations in a B2B environment.
