Job description

Position Summary Working with the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center's Special Programs Division - Advanced Technology Branch (HNJT) . Our specialized A&AS support will assist with the development, integration, test, fielding, and sustainment of AFLCMC SAP networks and services. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: Mentor junior systems engineers on efforts to support the creation of acquisition documentation on programs/software tools that support information and data distribution, data fusion, mission planning, signals processing, cyber analytics, and situational awareness Assist in the gathering of information for RFP releases and aide the PM in the technical evaluation of the effort. Member will be knowledgeable in the comparison of new efforts to historical information about similar delivery orders in order to determine if the proposal is fair and reasonable. Reviews the feasibility of new existing project requirements Create presentations/solutions and articulates to senior management Demonstrated high competency in Systems Engineering for multiple large projects Demonstrated ability to work multiple project efforts and interface with multiple contractors, MITRE, Government, and US military personnel at various levels Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Minimum Required Qualifications Clearance: Must have an active Top Secret level clearance and be TS/SCI eligible Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related technical field with 5-8 years' experience or Master's Degree with 3-5 years related experience preferred Years of Experience: 5-8 years' experience Minimum of 5 years Engineering experience with the IC Excellent oral and written communication skills. Experience building, deploying, and maintaining Kubernetes architecture. Experience with Helm, CD tools such as FluxCD or ArgoCD, and Kustomize are a bonus Experience with containerization, such as Docker Experience with cloud, AWS particularly, but Azure is a bonus Experience with automation, particularly with infrastructure as code (Ansible / Terraform) Experience designing, building, and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins Experience troubleshooting and resolving bugs or functional errors on complex systems. Being able to quickly pick up new technologies, and dig into them without too much assistance is important Experience with software development, particularly with NodeJS, Python and JavaScript Knowledge of agile software development processes Experience with database administration, maintenance, and design, particularly relational databases Experience building, troubleshooting, and interfacing with REST and GraphQL APIs Experience communicating project requirements and providing technical guidance to disparate teams Technical project management experience and communication skills are a huge plus Technical Documentation skills are also a big plus Preferred Qualifications Education: Master's Degree Years of experience: 3-5 years related experience preferred Certifications: Technical Skills Knowledge of agile acquisition highly desired SAR/SAP experience highly desired Knowledge of DOORS, RSA and/or Unified Modeling Language (UML) Familiarity with DoD Acquisition process from either Government or Prime Development contractor experience highly desired Possess a comprehensive knowledge on best practices of SEAM and CMMI Information Technology Acquisition or Cyber operations experience highly desired APDP Level II or III Certification (or equivalent) in Engineering highly desired Additional Information Location: Hanscom AFB, MA Travel: Frequent travel (within CONUS) is required (Potential to average 3-5 days a month) Onsite Company Overview Odyssey Systems Consulting Group, is an innovative small business committed to providing world-class technical, management, and training support services to government and public sector clients.
