We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Distribution Services Engineer to support the Base Information Transport Infrastructure (BITI) program, which is within the C3I and Infrastructure Division (AFLCMC/HNI) and located at Hanscom AFB, MA. WORK LOCATION: Hanscom, AFB, MA JOB STATUS: Full-Time; salaried; Hybrid RESPONSBILITIES: This program is looking for Distribution Services Engineers who possess the following skillsets/experience: Power HVAC Inside-Outside network plant (fiber-copper) The candidate should also have in-depth knowledge and skill with the following: Applying engineering theories, principles, concepts, standards, and methods sufficient to extend or modify theories, concepts, and assumptions Resolve unique or novel problems, conditions, or issues, or significantly alter standard practices, equipment, devices, processes, and known techniques Provide expert advice to professional colleagues and/or agency officials responsible for broad program operations Provide significant and innovative recommendations for advancing programs and/or methods Execute significant projects representing an important segment of the agency's operating programs QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree and and 15 years of experience, of which 5 year must be in the DoD Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project. Candidate will also need strong organizational skills. Must be a US citizen. Must have an active US security clearance.
