Raytheon has an exciting opportunity for a Principal Specialist, Contracts within the Naval Power Strategic Business Unit. This role will be supporting the SPY-6 program within the Naval Radars program area, providing contract management support of significant scope and complexity, ensuring compliance with company and regulatory requirements for proposal, negotiation and contract execution. We are seeking a highly motivated, well-organized individual who enjoys working on collaborative, cross-functional teams. Your responsibilities will include developing creative approaches to solving problems while employing sound change management and communication skills. Travel may be required to support customer meetings. What You Will Do: Provide sound contract management to meet customer obligations, achieve company goals, and comply with company policies.
Professionally represent Raytheon on contractual transactions and work closely with customers to develop and maintain business relationships.
Support the analysis of Requests for Proposal (RFP), development of proposals, proposal reviews and coordination, negotiation, contractual agreements, contract execution, as well as general contract administration.
Effectively manage contractual scope and terms and conditions to ensure the contract is followed compliantly.
Identify, mitigate, and resolve contractual issues as they may arise.
Provide guidance regarding contractual and business issues, advising management of contractual rights and obligations as well as possible mitigation of contractual/program risks.
This position is currently designated as fully onsite. Applicants should be located within 50 miles of Marlborough, MA or Andover, MA. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a bachelor's degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience OR an advanced degree and 3 years of relevant experience
Experience working with US Government contracts, and/or the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), and/or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS)
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with Foreign Military Sales (FMS)
Ability to partner with others, work in a team environment, and defer to management as appropriate
Excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills
Comfortable working in an environment with established company policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability to develop effective and sustaining relationships with customers
Business acumen with financial understanding of the business
Effective critical thinking and interpersonal skills
Ability to think strategically
Experience in a position requiring multi-tasking and handling several assignments concurrently or similar project management or coordination
Active US Government DoD Secret Security Clearance

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
