Raytheon's Manufacturing Engineering, Engineering Hotline (EHL) supports all drawings that define product requirements across all Raytheon sensors and select effectors. EHL works primarily with Raytheon's supplier base to safely resolve design issues, ensuring quality parts are delivered on time. EHL collaborates with a wide scope of disciplines, including but not limited to, program engineering, supply chain, quality, sales, and engineering at other companies. Daily work is fast paced, challenging, and rewarding.
We have an immediate need for a Manufacturing Engineer II - Engineering Hotline in Andover, MA.

This is an onsite role
What You Will Do
- Real-time technical support with manufacturers to assure design requirements are clear and correct.
- Troubleshooting drawing issues involving materials, paints and finishes, welding and brazing, GD&T, marking, and testing as they pertain to different commodities.
- Daily interfacing with Raytheon subject matter experts and responsible engineers as required.
- Communicating technical issues across functional areas and documenting technical details.
- In-person meetings with Raytheon engineers and external manufacturers at local facilities.
- Encourage Raytheon's supplier base to engage with our team at the earliest possible phase of production.
- Define the appropriate Universal Commodity Code (UCC) to accurately categorize parts for procurement.
- Create Supplier Change Request Notification (SCRN) records within cPDM for program review.
Qualification You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor's in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Math) and a minimum of 2 years of prior manufacturing or engineering experience.
- Experience documenting technical issues and resolution
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
- Active DoD security clearance (confidential, secret)
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Technical drawing interpretation, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Organizational skills with fine attention to detail and multitasking capabilities
- Proficiency with CAD solid modeling tools (preference for CREO/ProE)
- Hands-on mechanical aptitude with the ability to work across disciplines
- Innovative mindset that drives continuous improvement and keeps pace with advances in technology
- Knowledge and ability to apply lean principles and techniques (Six Sigma, CORE)
