Joint Base Andrews, MD Tallon is recruiting for a Data Engineer with ADVANA experience to support Air Force Financial Management (AF FM) systems. Prior experience with Air Force legacy systems is required. This postion is a direct hire (W2 salary plus benefits) working for our client. The program requires an on-site hybrid schedule. Relocation support will be considered. Role and responsibilities include: Work as part of a collaborative team with Air Force product and platform owners supporting big data infrastructure in a cloud environment Support data modeling and visualizations for large data sets leveraging big data technologies Promote database design principles and best practices for data governance Other duties, as assigned Requirements include: U.S. citizenship Current security clearance (Secret at a minimum) Bachelor's degree in a related discipline is preferred; equivalent years of related experience may be considered in lieu of a degree 5+ years of related experience supporting data engineering for Air Force Financial Management (AF FM) Systems Experience with ADVANA is highly desired Experience with SAF/FM systems Experience working with AF FM legacy systems including: Automated Business Services System (ABSS) Air Force Equipment Management System (AFEMS) Automated Funds Management (AFM) Civilian Pay Accounting Interface System (CPAIS) Central Procurement Accounting System (CPAS) Commanders' Resource Integration System (CRIS) Defense Civilian Payroll System (DCPS) General Accounting and Finance System Base Level (GAFS-BL) General Accounting and Finance System Re-Engineered (GAFS-R) Integrated Accounts Payable System (IAPS) Job Order Cost Accounting System II (JOCAS II) Standard Base Supply System (SBSS) Standard Materiel Accounting System (SMAS) Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) Expertise with ETL processes Experience working with big data tools and technologies including Databricks, Python, SQL, Spark, JavaScript/JSON, and Jupyter Notebooks Experience analyzing large datasets using big data technologies Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior management and stakeholders Demonstrated experience with data visualization and data modeling Working knowlege of database design principles and adhering to data governance Proficiency working across MS Office Suite including advanced Excel skills Effective written and verbal communication skills to work in a collaborative environment with government and contractor teams Availability to support on-site hybrid schedule (1-2 days/week)
