Position Summary: Command Cyber Solutions (a federal government contractor) is seeking a qualified Cloud Integrations Engineering Specialist to support USCB's Decennial Information Technology Division (DITD) DITD to support cloud-native application transformation plans for Decennial operations. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: • The Cloud Engineer will support the development of an Enterprise cloud infrastructure baseline suitable of multi-cloud IaaS, SaaS, PaaS, and XaaS consumption using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) as part of a cross-functional agile engineering team. • The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for integration and implementation of a public cloud infrastructure that will support microservice, containerized, monolithic, serverless and hybrid application architectures. The Cloud Engineer will assist in defining and adhering to internal team standards and processes. The Cloud Engineering will be required to develop and maintain documentation for the design, implementation, operations, and accreditation of COTS infrastructure management solutions. • The Cloud Engineer will support the development of a service catalog for system team self-service using IaC. • The Cloud Engineer will build and integrate new systems and assist in the migration of applications, COTS, GOTS, and FOSS products to public cloud resources; provide technological recommendations of infrastructure solutions; implement the solution(s) required to fulfill system and solution level requirements; and support development, integration, test and validation activities to prove system effectiveness, performance, and readiness during critical test events leading up to critical Decennial operations. Education, Experience & Certification Requirements: Education Required: • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. • Bachelor's Degree can be substituted for two (2) additional years of experience REQUIRED CERTIFICATION (only one required): • AWS Solutions Architect Associate certification • Terraform Associate • RedHat Certified System Administrator Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required: • Must have experience with development, maintenance, and operations of Amazon Web Services (AWS) based solutions; AWS Solutions Architecture Associate certification is minimally required • Proficient in cloud technologies, minimally including AWS Organizations, Advanced VPC Networking, VPC Sharing, Certificate Manager, EKS, ECS, Fargate, Lambda, Step Functions, RDS, and AWS Config • Proficient in cloud storage and networking services • Experience with AWS GovCloud is preferred • Must have strong experience with programming in one or more of: Linux shell scripting, python, and/or Node.js • Must have strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, i.e. Terraform, CloudFormation, and/or Ansible • Must be familiar with YAML • Must be familiar with source, defect, artifact, binary and configuration management, and be able to use applicable technologies in standard development collaboration e.g., GitHub Actions, and Jira • Must be able to use container management and deployment technologies (Ex: podman, docker) as well as container orchestration services such cloud platform specific implementations of Kubernetes like EKS and GKE • Relevant knowledge of current and emerging infrastructure technologies • Solid time management skills with the ability to plan, organize and implement multiple initiatives and deadline-driven workloads while consistently providing outstanding customer service • Detail-oriented, proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills • Must have experience planning, installing, configuring, patching, and troubleshooting issues on the following platforms: o Red Hat Enterprise Linux o Microsoft Windows Server • Must have experience with fundamental storage concepts: filesystems, backup, cloning, snapshotting, logical volume management, data encryption • Experienced in supporting project teams in all phases of development and testing • Must have IT security focus; experience working on security-centric solutions Working Conditions/Working Environment/Physical Demands • Basic office work environment at government facility location • Hours of operation are M-F between . • Occasionally, project requirements may require temporary adjustment of work hours/days • Duties are subject to change based on the needs of the customer Command Cyber Solutions is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to providing a workplace free from harassment and discrimination.
