Seneca Federal Health is looking to hire an Assistant Registrar to support our government client. This position provides critical support to the Defense Health Agency (DHA) at the National Museum of Health and Medicine (NMHM). DHA is a combat support agency delivering integrated, affordable, and high-quality health services to beneficiaries of the Department of Defense's Military Health System. This position manages recordkeeping for the museum collections according to NMHM policies. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assists in the development of forms and recordkeeping systems to maintain documentation and inventory of collection materials and artifacts. Maintains and reconciles central museum registration numbering system for collection objects. Assists in maintaining current inventories of collection objects at all collection storage facilities and aids in developing long range plans for museum storage needs. Coordinates these activities with curators, collection managers, conservators, and senior museum staff within the Museum. Process new acquisitions. Process Loans. Support exhibit and public programs and collections management divisions as required. Remains current in the museum registrar field through review of museum periodicals, attending professional conferences, and other continuing education programs, as appropriate. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree at a minimum, at least two full academic years of related graduate level education in a field related to the collections. Two years' relevant collections management and registration experience. Database skills, electronic publication and other software experience, object handling experience. Demonstrated ability to work in support of registrant, public programs, exhibits, and general collections management tasks. Desired Qualifications: Master's degree in Museum studies. Experience using collections management software (Ke EMu preferred.)
