Job description

The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management and successful completion of Government/Federal construction projects. Projects will include large-scale new construction work valued between $20M - $100M+, as well as smaller renovations valued between $1M - $15M.

Description

  • Work in collaboration with project management team and Superintendent to ensure successful completion of projects
  • Enforce company safety program in accordance with company policies, local, state, and federal laws
  • Provide structure and management to project team
  • Develop goals and objects for project team members
  • Play an active role in the preconstruction and bidding process
  • Develop and review project plans & schedules to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
  • Ensure that construction activities progress in accordance with project schedule
  • Participate in weekly subcontractor meetings with project Superintendent
  • Oversee subcontractor performance
  • Track all potential change orders
  • Prepare and present monthly project reviews
  • Manage closeout process
  • Lead and train project team members to support their growth and development
  • Build new and maintain existing business relationships with Owners, Architects/Engineers, Construction Managers, and Subcontractors

Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • +/- 5-10 years of construction industry experience
  • General Contracting background
  • Strong tenure at current and previous employers
  • Experience overseeing government/federal construction projects. Projects can be valued between $10M - $100M+
  • Demonstrated history of client satisfaction and profitability
  • OSHA 30, First Aid, CPR certifications
  • Working knowledge of: Microsoft Office, Procore, Bluebeam
  • Understanding of Primavera and BIM preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
