Accounts Payable Specialist- Reisterstown, MD

About the Company and Accounts Payable Specialist Opportunity:

• CFS is partnering with a repeat construction client, in business for almost 100 years to find an Accounts Payable Specialist
  • This position will begin on a contractual basis and become permanent for the selected candidate depending on performance and fit
• Work with a small, tight knit team of 3 total in accounting
• Company boasts great culture, hosting various events such as bringing in food trucks, catered holiday parties, and more!
• Position is 100% in office in Reisterstown, MD
  • Schedule: 8:30am-5pm with a 30 minute lunch, 40 hour work week, M-F
  • Candidates must be local to the Baltimore area and be able to reliably commute to the location

Job Duties of the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• Process up to 100 invoices daily using Epicor ERP system and matching paperwork
• Review and reconcile vendor statements
• Weekly check runs
• Maintain 1099 files
• Assist with journal entries
• Back up for accounts receivable (able to post payments and pull invoices as needed)
• Receive timeclock entries and manually key payroll entries into Excel to be uploaded into Epicor
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist:

• 2+ years' accounting/AP experience required
• Basic Excel skills
• Experience with Epicor (for AP) and/or Great Plains (for general accounting) a plus, but not required
• Detail oriented, able to handle high volume, strong multitasking skills
• Self disciplined and able to work with little oversight
