Model Based Systems Engineer Junior, Journeyman, and Senior roles Location: Patuxent River, MD (Hybrid/Remote) Description: HigherEchelon is seeking motivated Model Based Systems Engineers to support The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) Systems Engineering Department (SED) team in Patuxent River, MD. This opportunity is contingent upon contract award. Responsibilities: Applies engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, or evaluate military weapons systems. Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. Applies systems engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements of military weapons systems, associated support systems, or management information systems. Required Skills: Experience with MBSE practices. Expertise in building and assessing systems engineering assessments and recommendations that inform key technical decisions. Experience with the use of modeling languages and frameworks such as UML, SysML, and UAF. Experience with systems engineering analyses and using the results with other engineering models to draw conclusions and optimize performance, schedule, timing, costs, etc. Experience using MBSE Tools, such as Cameo System Modeler, Cameo Enterprise Architect, Teamwork Cloud, and Cameo Collaborator. Experience with system requirements, design, analysis, verification and validation activities and how they are enabled by MBSE across the digital thread (the engineering lifecycle). Recent and relevant Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology
Must be a US Citizen
Minimum of an active Secret Security Clearance is required; Top Secret required for Senior position. Education: Jr: o Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree o 0-2 years of experience Journeyman: o Technical or Scientific BS or BA degree. o 2-4 years of experience Sr: o Technical or Scientific MS or MA degree, PhD preferred o At least four (4) years of recent and relevant experience.
