Job description

SMX is seeking a skilled Information Security Systems Developer to be part of our Information Technology Team supporting NAWCAD at Patuxent River, MD. The Developer tasking includes analysis, planning, designing, implementing, upgrading, and monitoring of security measures for the protection of computer networks and information across multiple security levels. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Develop appropriate security controls, architectures, and data transfer methods/tools ensuring protection of digital files and vital electronic infrastructure across multiple security domains and impact levels Analyze current security measures for appropriate protection of data and networks across the enterprise Design and plan new security measures, configuration changes in existing or recommending changes or actions for better protection of the data and networks Required Skills: Clearance Required: Top Secret/SCI eligible, Secret to start. The applicant selected may be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Ability to maintain a Top Secret/SCI eligible Clearance Must be able to interact with peers, management, and senior engineers in a constantly evolving environment to ensure a positive customer experience and atmosphere in the workplace. Associate degree in a relevant discipline 3+ years of related IT experience required DoD 8570 compliant (IAT Level 2) (Examples of minimum acceptable certifications-CCNA Security, CySA+, G SEC, Security+ CE, SSCP) Desired Skills: Past DoD system administration experience Experience with Windows and Linux based Operating Systems Knowledge of DoD Information Assurance practices, including Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) At SMX , we are a team of technical and domain experts dedicated to enabling your mission.
