Job description

As a Cyber Risk Consultant you will serve as an integral member of our Federal team supporting NAVAIR. You will work closely with NAVAIR stakeholders to ensure that their full integration on to and optimal usage of the Fortress C-SCRM suite of tools. In doing so, you can expect to engage in a multi-faceted position that is central to safeguarding the integrity and efficiency of the organization's digital assets. This role requires a dynamic individual capable of contributing to various aspects of cybersecurity, from strategic planning to client engagement, project management, and risk assessment. It calls for technical expertise, strategic thinking, and an ability to communicate complex concepts to stakeholders at all levels. Responsibilities Include: • Formulate and develop and interpret information that assists management with decision-making, policy formulation, or other managerial functions.
• Collect and analyze data and develop decision support software, services, or products.
• Develop and supply optimal time, cost, or logistics networks for program evaluation, review, or implementation.
• Has experience in developing, modifying, enhancing, and sustaining new or existing computer applications and software programs following software assurance best practices throughout the software lifecycle.
• Knowledge of system security, forensics, and application of methodologies within centralized and decentralized environments across the enterprise's computer systems in software development.
• Knowledge of security controls used during the requirements phase to integrate security within the process, to identify key security objectives, and to maximize software security while minimizing disruption to plans and schedules.
• Conducts threat and vulnerability assessments and determines deviations from acceptable configurations or policies.
• Assesses the level of risk and develops and/or recommends appropriate mitigation countermeasures in operational and non-operational situations.
Minimum Qualifications:
• 5 years of proven experience working on high-visibility or mission critical aspects of a given program and performing all functional duties independently in a technology or cybersecurity client-facing role.
• A deep understanding of Navy systems and a track record of developing cybersecurity and systems security solutions in compliance with stringent protocols.
• Active TOP SECRET Clearance is essential.
Preferred Skills:
• Experience working within or closely related to Navy Program Office(s) • Hands on Supply Chain Risk Management experience. • CISSP • CSSLP • CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CySA+)
Education:
• BS Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems or CS, from an ABET accredited or CAE designated institution.
