Job description

Senior Systems Engineer to support the development andimplementation ofthe new Tactical Secure Voice Cryptographic Interoperability Specification (TSVCIS) for a Cybersecurity Program near Ft. Meade, MD. As a System Engineer, asuccessful candidatewill participate in thedevelopment, facilitation,and coordination of system engineering documentation such as: System Engineering Plans; Initial CapabilitiesDocuments; RequirementsSpecifications; andInterface Control Documentation. Provide technical support for thedevelopment/engineering,interfacing/integrationand testingof componentsof complex hardware and software systems toinclude Requirementselicitation; Analysisand functionalallocation; Conduct systemsrequirementsreviews; Develop conceptsof operation and interface standards; Develop system architectures; andPerform technical/non-technical assessments forTSVCIS Working Group members and variouspartnerships. Thecandidate will assist with operational views, technical standards views, and system and services views forrelated TSVCIS architecturesusing applicable DoDAF standards. The candidate will support the planning and test-analysis of theDoD Certification/Accreditation Process(as well as other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes. Required Skills: Experience in Space/Weapon/Ground/Terminal system development and/or evaluation with Cybersecurity design is desired. Knowledge of Tactical RF and Signals is desired. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must. NOTE: Travel is Required. May include International Travel. Participate in the development of system engineering documentation, such as System Engineering Plans, Initial Capabilities Documents, Provide technical support for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific components of complex hardware/software systems to include requirements elicitation, analysis and functional allocation, conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, developing system architectures, and performing technical/non-technical assessments. Assist with operational views, technical standards views, and system and services views for architectures using applicable DoDAF standards. Support the planning and test analysis of the DoD Certification/Accreditation Process (as well as other Government Certification and Accreditation (C&A) processes. Clearance Required: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph Minimum Education: A Bachelor's Degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Minimum Years of Experience: Fourteen (14) years of System Engineering experience is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's Degree for a total of nineteen (19) years of experience. Four (4) years of experience in Space/Weapon/Ground/Terminal system development and or evaluation with Cybersecurity design experience is required. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.
