Job description

Job Type Full-time Description What You'll Do: As the Lead Software Engineer, you will oversee a diverse SW development team as part of the CSS team within NAVAIR's Airborne Strategic Command, Control and Communications Program (PMA-271). Specific responsibilities may include: Conducting analyses and studies for software requirements development, engineering feasibility, system affordability, reliability, maintainability, testability, systems integration, vulnerability, and susceptibility
Evaluating customer/operational needs to define system performance requirements, integrate technical parameters, and assure compatibility of all physical, and functional requirements
Supporting budgeting, scheduling, and risk management of a major acquisition program
Supporting software sustainment efforts to include, correction of deficiencies, flight clearances, cybersecurity Coordinating with teams and developers to ensure tasking is executed in the expected timeframe
Mentoring junior developers on the team

Requirements Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Programming, or a related technical degree, required
At least 3 years of recent experience in developing software for DoD systems is required
CompTIA Security + certification is desired
Some leadership/mentoring experience is highly preferredWho You Are: You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
