Title:
KC-130T Flight Engineer KBR's Defense Systems Engineering, Naval Solutions Division is seeking a C/KC-130T Flight Engineer to join our team. As part of the world's largest independent flight test organization supporting both US Government and Commercial Agencies, the highly talented and experienced KBR aircrew services team has provided over 40 continuous years of Aircrew Project and Flight Test support at Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD. In this role you will be working for the long-term incumbent and leader in flight test and will work within the NAVAIR test community composed of government, military, contractor and industry personnel while supporting flight test. Responsibilities: This position supports tasking at the Naval Air Warfare Center, VX-20 at NAS Patuxent River, MD. Supports Flight Test, Aerial Refueling, logistics, and post maintenance check flights as a Flight Engineer across legacy and C-130 platforms. Basic Qualifications: Minimum of 1000 flight hours in the C-130 aircraft and have been designated as a Flight Engineer in the C/KC-130T.
FAA CFR Part 67 Second-Class Airman Medical certified required.
Must meet current CNAF 3710.7 series physical and physiological minimums for the C-130 T/M/S aircrew positions.
Complete Naval Aviation Survival Training Program (NASTP) training for class II aircraft (i.e., C-130) with a 4-year recurrency requirement.
Complete an annual Naval Air Training and Operating Procedure Standards (NATOPS) flight check, open and closed book tests and egress training.
Complete annual ground and flight Crew Resource Management (CRM) training.
Applicant selected may be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Must have an active Secret Security clearance required.
Must be able to travel up to 25% as required by contract. Preferred Requirements/Qualifications: 5000 Flight hours on the KC-130 aircraft.
RDT&E flight experience.
KC-130 T model experience preferred.
Maintain an APU Operator certification.
Maintain Plane Captain Designation. Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 hours/week Relocation: KBR does offer relocation assistance to qualified candidates Compensation: $96,800-145,200. The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, contract affordability and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity. Additional Compensation: KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels per internal policy or contractual designation.
