Job description

The MIL Corporation is seeking an Engineering, Junior Analyst to support multiple communications systems projects with interdisciplinary electromechanical engineering skills from our Lexington Park, MD location. This role, which is based in Lexington Park, MD, supports a Federal Government client in Washington, DC and other projects as needed. This position currently requires a hybrid schedule, with 3 days on-site. Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities Conducts system and subsystem engineering analysis and captures system and external interface requirements. Develops preliminary and comprehensive system architecture, conducts market research and trade studies, and designs subsystems. Develops cable block diagrams and cable run sheets and oversees the drafting production of technical data package documents. Generates code and/or hardware as applicable during solution development. Performs mechanical design and analysis tasks as required, including 3-D modelling and stress analysis using CAD tools. Performs integration, test/evaluation, and installation engineering for electromechanical equipment/systems and subsystems. Develops artifacts for test plans, procedures, and test reports. Performs sustainment planning, fielding validation and verification testing, production engineering planning, risk assessment, and technical resolution. Assists cybersecurity engineering efforts during the inception, elaboration, construction, and transition phases. Travel Up to 25% as needed Required Qualifications Demonstrable experience with interdisciplinary engineering projects Ability to develop and interpret engineering packages Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and organization skills Ability to interface professionally with individuals at all levels and communicate effectively with project staff and other team members Proficiency with AutoCAD/Inventor, Visio, Microsoft Office suite, and SharePoint Desired Qualifications Experience with extended Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Power-BI, etc.) Experience with 3-D printing technologies and applications Experience with code and analysis in MATLAB, C++, and/or Python Experience with configuration management technologies and tools Experience working with and leading teams. Education Bachelor's Degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college. Clearance All applicants for this position must possess a current Secret clearance with the ability to obtain Top Secret/SCI and Yankee White; please note that the clearance process takes into account financial background aspects. Salary at MIL is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and contractual limitations. For this position, the projected compensation range is $61,746 - $92,620 per year.
