Position Type: Full-Time Work Location: This is a remote position (see on-site requirements below). On-Site Requirements: On-boarding will require 1-2 visits to Patuxent River, MD for candidates that are local to the area. Candidates out of state will be onboarded virtually. Training will be virtual and telework maximized/permitted to the greatest extent possible, however for local candidates, training/tasking may require on-site work a few hours per week. Future on-site/telework requirements/schedules may change as additional client direction is received. Essential Functions: Determine appropriate, most efficient, and secure method of data transfer. Awareness of data availability within each environment (SDR on-premise, LOG IT Cloud, Jupiter). Awareness of data security policies and protections applicable to each data set. Knowledge of and utilization of data transformation and loading tools within on-premise, LOG IT Cloud, and Jupiter. Enforce data security policies and protection in all environments. May assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Other duties as assigned or required. Qualifications and Experience: Required: At least three (3) years' experience in LINUX systems administration and analysis. Relational database experience is required with database platforms such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL. CompTIA Security+ certification is required. Desired: Experience working with Application Lifecycle and Configuration and Knowledge Management software is highly desired. Experience with Hadoop or other big data applications desired. Experience with Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) is a plus. Experience with UNIX Shell Scripting is a plus. Experience with Agile Methodology is a plus. Security Clearance: Active Secret clearance required. Requirements to obtain a clearance include US Citizenship, security investigation, etc. Education: High School diploma or GED required.
