Company Overview: Join our dynamic and growing construction company, where precision, quality, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do. We specialize in large-scale commercial projects and are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Commercial Drywall Estimator to join our team.

Position Summary: As a Commercial Drywall Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and competitive estimates for drywall and related construction projects. Your role will involve analyzing project plans, specifications, and other documents to determine the costs associated with labor, materials, and equipment. You will collaborate closely with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure that estimates are aligned with project goals and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates for drywall projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and clients to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather necessary information for accurate estimation.
  • Analyze labor, material, and time requirements to determine total project costs.
  • Prepare and present cost estimates to management and clients in a clear and concise manner.
  • Communicate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing information and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and participate in bid reviews and negotiations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials, and construction methods.
  • Track and analyze project costs to ensure estimates align with actual expenditures.
  • Support project management teams during project execution, providing cost-related insights as needed.

Qualifications:


  • 2-10 years of experience as an estimator in the commercial drywall or construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of drywall systems, materials, and installation techniques.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications, and contracts.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred but not required.
