Job description

CyberCore is seeking a Staff Accountant responsible for managing the month-end close process and handling daily transactions. This role requires the ability to take action or escalate issues when necessary, encourage the team through positive communication and feedback, and coordinate and backfill team members' work when needed. Job Responsibilities: Manage and perform the entire month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting Conduct thorough reconciliations of balance sheet accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data Monitor and account for prepaid and deferred expenses, ensuring they are recorded accurately Maintain fixed asset records and calculate depreciation and amortization expenses in compliance with company policies and accounting standard Provide assistance with annual audits Identify and analyze financial issues, risks, and opportunities within the organization. Provide clear and concise reports and recommendations to the VP of Finance to support decision-making Prepare accurate sales and use tax returns on a timely basis. Assist with other state tax filings and compliance requirements as needed. Review and assess department processes and procedures. Design and implement innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness. Required Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field is required. 3+ years of experience as an Accountant with knowledge of GAAP Experience with General Ledger and Advanced Microsoft Excel Must have experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Desired Qualifications Proficiency with Deltek Costpoint is highly desired. Working knowledge Cognos or similar ERP software applications CPA certification is preferred.
